FaceLook: facial recognition for Coca Cola Israel

This summer Coca Cola Israel has created another integration between physical presence of a person and his or her social network profile using facial recognition technology.

Basically, event goers first signed up to the event via specially developed Facebook application, giving it right to update person's status. Application scanned person's photos to build a database of faces. At the activation locations scattered around event area person approached 'check-in' station, stood in front of a display and was instantly recognized by the application. Then she could add a photo and select a status or type her phone and with one button click update her Facebook status.
